New Mexico's Digital Collection /// Navajo Blankets

I came across New Mexico's Digital Collection today and have spent hours pouring over the beautiful historical photographs of their traditional arts & crafts, architecture and landscape. The vintage Navajo blankets are what really caught my attention. I just want to frame these photgraphs and put them on my wall.

Central Seattle Library

I spent a couple hours wandering around the beautiful Central Seattle Library while I was in Seattle for my birthday. The details and craftmanship that went into this beautiful building blew my mind. If you are ever in Seattle make sure you go - but go with someone who knows the building so you can see all of the magical pieces.

Loving the photos from Portland's own Work Place. They recently highlighted Egg Press, a local letterpress company who's beautiful studio space is located in the new Schoolhouse Electric factory on 21st and Nicolai.

I had the pleasure of working with Kara and Tess over the summer while developing some of our new products at Schoolhouse and can't say enough good things about them - two uber genuine people overflowing with positive energy, style and design talents. 

Work Place had some nice words as well...

Gypsy Wedding

A magical and dreamy backdrop for a wedding.

 I have to be honest - I didn't love the fashion styling on this shoot - beautiful for every day, not for a wedding.  But the prop styling? SO beautiful and amazing. Simple perfect.

Portland is a Haven for Design Dorks

Erin and I drooling over Anne Sacks after the bars closed.

Leave it to my friends and me to go out in Portland for a night of drinking and end up drunkenly pressed up against the glass of one our favorite tile stores.  Yes, I said it, tile store. Such dorks!

It doesn't matter how much liquor you fill me with - design is my heart.

Triangle ΔΔΔ LOVE /// Needing warmth

I can't seem to have enough blankets on my bed right now. I love a cool room and the warmth that comes with the weight of 10 blankets on top of me. This is one of the best quilts I've ever seen...oh how I'd love to have it strewn across my bed.

Getting ready for the Holidays

I've barely started Christmas shopping and crafting yet - I cannot believe it is already December - and half way through December at that!  I haven't blogged in months! What happened?

Well here I am, back to my old business -  so expect more posts because I'm feeling very festive and much more like my usual old self.

Well the first round of business for the holidays was getting Schoolhouse Electric Co.'s  Portland showroom decorated for the holidays and the release of our new shade designed by local artist Amy Ruppel. I made lots of felt decorations including cute garlands all made out of red and pale blue felt.

Now on to my house!

I'm in love with the use of triangles in fonts lately. Replace the A with a Δ and suddenly any word looks cool.
