Styling Sneak Peek///The Shook Twins

I spent the day styling the beautiful Shook Twins for their video with my uber talented friend, Ben Darwish.

(Many of the items were graciously loaned to me by George Loves vintage.)

Lately///In Gray Scale

Lately...working (you know the place), playing (do not mix champagne & instagram), drawing (sometimes I feel things and they make art) & shopping (secret store in PDX where I buy naturally felled antlers and turtle shells - not so secret stores where I buyy $25 selvage denim). Life is a pretty neat thing and I'm enjoying it.

One Minute Films from Nowness.com. Love them to death.

Mi Vidi Loca Sandlot Y Sandlot

Mi Vida Loca (top button only and red lipstick)

and

Sandlot (roll them jeans, show off those sneaks), together at last.

Can't get enough of baseball caps these days. Picked up a really cute lil red 5 panel camp hat at the Lincoln City coastal goodwill for 99 cents. It's all I want to wear...good hair day or bad.

Bralettes

I've found myself totally drawn to little lace bralettes lately. They have become a staple in my wardrobe. Ever since American Apparel won me over with their triangle bra I have a hard time wearing standard "mom bras" as I like to call them. Then came the lace...I've found that for us medium to small bossomed ladies these bras feel sexy, are comfortable and affordable. They can go from day to night and be worn with (almost) any outfit. Dream bras.

Heading to the coast this weekend for the second panty party - with maybe a couple pants involved this time...we'll all be wearing our ponchos in the rainy February weather.

No, but seriously.

Wednesday Night Productivity///

Staying in and scanning photos, finishing a painting and planning some magical adventures. Comfy clothes necessary.

19.2.12

I love how you could chop this girl in half (no gruesome imagery intended) and think she was two different people. Business on the top/casual on the bottm.  I feel like she perfectly exemplifies how I feel about style.

Wear what looks good on you - what you feel comfortable in - and the only rule is that there are no rules.

High-waisted Slacks///

I'm in love with my new slacks that I found while digging in the Goodwill bins. The waistband makes me so happy.

Portland Style

Some styling I did for HELLOvintage - my shop will be up again soon folks! Right now all I can do in Portland is layer layer layer...it's a dry winter - so we're taking advantage of not having to wear a rain coat errr day.

January Necessities

January necessities - so many layers are needed this month - even when it comes to accessories.

(Vintage brass earrings, a feather charm necklace made from an old earring, Crystal Noir by Versace, cheap black gloves, tortoiseshell specks for indoors and out - the eyeglasses are Reynolds and the shades are vintage, 5 year diary, vintage leather/metal/wood bangles, black mardi gras beads, rings old and new)

My favorite new piece is this little 5 year diary. Just an inch of space per a day, per year - all 5 years on one page. Can't wait to look back on all of this. Wondering where I'll be 5 years from now...

My collection of rings are number 2 - the love ring is a gift from one of my best friends and a staple, the turquoise is new as of the holidays and the button ring was made by my roommate...in love. (Sparkly nailpolish for good measure - jazz hands)
