Loving this Hobo Symbols poster from High Street Vintage.

"During the Great Depression, Hobos developed a system of signs and symbols in order to communicate with each other."

YAY JORIE!

Jorie's little camping stool made it onto the front page of Etsy!

She has an amazing eye.

Isn't this pastel portrait totally WILD!?! I think it would be such a good conversation piece in a bar.

Shop her rad style here.

Vintage Illustrations///Lackluster Co

I love elephants - Ketch loves big cats. Our animal love has progressed into us having some pretty strange art. But these two piece are so quaint, classic and masculine. The are simple and not cheesy which I love. Drawn in the 1940's, I think these original illustrations are beautiful.

HELLOvintage///sneak peek

I spent a lot of last evening organizing and choosing, choosing and organizing. There are a lot of options and I am only posting the best.

There are so many loose cottons, springy stripes, classic well worn plaids, lace and florals. I have some RAD bags in suede and florals. Oh and then there is the interior decor: Gilded frames, mustard, floral and plaid picnic blankets and some beautiful hand woven throw rugs. YES, I said it, hand woven rugs! BEAUTIFUL!

A Very Thrifty Weekend

Spent some time shopping here in Portland this weekend and scored some awesome items for our house.

White tulip base table is now a record stand in my bedroom.

White director's chairs (there are technically 2).  For now it sits in my bedroom - but once the sun comes out it will sit in my backyard.
(Because I found a black vinyl vintage Steelcase chair to replace it!!!)

2 ways///a new sunsuit

I got a new-to-me sunsuit the other day. Only $15!!! There is this great little vintage shop on N Williams here in Portland. It's called Little Edie's and I frequent it most weekends. I always seem to find something! This sun suit is very 80's with a cute little scrunched top and high-wasted shorts. The pieces are made out of he sweetest floral, non-strech cotton and have a lining so if I want to go in the water I can.  I love pairing the shorts with little tops and tights, just like the pictures below. Totally changes the look.YAY for sun!

Super8

I found a working Kodak Super8 camera in a case at St. Vinnie's yesterday for $9.99. I can't believe I didn't buy it. WTF was I thinking?
