Summer Accessories///Crocheted Purse

This is my perfect crocheted purse I thrifted a month or so back. The perfect shopping bag size I can carry everything I need and still look feminine.

It was a little yellowed so after a good bleach soak it's beautiful again and ready to get dirty all over again...since I seem to be taking it EVERYWHERE.

YAY JORIE!

Jorie's little camping stool made it onto the front page of Etsy!

She has an amazing eye.

Isn't this pastel portrait totally WILD!?! I think it would be such a good conversation piece in a bar.

Shop her rad style here.

Perfect Vintage Oxfords

Can you believe I picked up these beauties at Gwill? Hardly worn and the perfect medium brown. I love the leather wrapped tiny platform toe.

I might have let out a little scream when I saw they were a size 8 (they're never my size!). Perfect new work shoes for under ten bucks. Sorry folks, these hotties are all mine.

BOOM

Thursday Thoughts

1. This little plastic deer sits on my desk at work.  He's been with me since the beginning of my time at Schoolhouse.
2. A new discovery today - sweet and salty Gramma Jan's popcorn. Better than Kettle Corn. I SWEAR!
3. Pretty vintage books at the local Goodwill.
4. Trying out a new color - Pretty grey nail polish.
5. How cute is Jorie's sweater? She found it at Goodwill, altered it and added leather elbow patches. LOVE

HELLOvintage///sneak peek

I spent a lot of last evening organizing and choosing, choosing and organizing. There are a lot of options and I am only posting the best.

There are so many loose cottons, springy stripes, classic well worn plaids, lace and florals. I have some RAD bags in suede and florals. Oh and then there is the interior decor: Gilded frames, mustard, floral and plaid picnic blankets and some beautiful hand woven throw rugs. YES, I said it, hand woven rugs! BEAUTIFUL!

Chop it up!

I saw this and new I must have it for Fall

I think I'll make this rather than buy it. So easy to fringe a big old scarf or a long strip of jersey.

Super8

I found a working Kodak Super8 camera in a case at St. Vinnie's yesterday for $9.99. I can't believe I didn't buy it. WTF was I thinking?

jar frames

Cause I love me some thrifty recycled style these caught my eye right away! How cute would these be lined up in a window, along a fire place.

Another idea: You can even put the photos in thin mouthed bottles such as clear soda bottle or wine bottle. Just roll the photo into a tube and slip it through the mouth. The photo will uncurl inside the bottle. These ones should probably sit ride side up versus upside down though :). Little chotchkies can be slipped in too. Maybe a photo from the beach with some sea glass? What do you think?
