Hunter/Gatherer ///

We went as Hunter/Gatherer and had a blast. Ketch has a habit of really "getting into character". Memorable nights always ensue.

What are you going to be for Halloween? ///

What are you going to be for Halloween? Cause dangit I'm stumped.

Last year I was Max from Where the Wild things are. I took a union suit from our local army surplus store Andy & Bax, added a faux fur tail that I made, wooden buttons and a hood from an old white sweatshirt. I fashioned ears out of the excess sweatshirt material and I have to say, it turned out pretty dang well! 

 

It was so comfy and I'm really not into the excuse that Halloween is the time to dress like it's 100 degrees outside. I'd prefer to look cute and be WARM. But if I'm going to a party, which this year i think i am, I might as well do it up a little and get cute. 

 

The guy in the stripes and the girl with the feathers were my Wild Things pals. Sooo fun

But any ideas for this year? What are you going to be?

I'm not usually one for anything more than some ump umps (pumpkins) on my stoop. Most Halloween decorations seem sooo cheesy.  But this is cute /// AND CHEAP !!!'

Halloween Costume Ideas are a brewing

I think I've officially accepted that it's Fall because this picture made me instantly start fantasizing about homemade Halloween Costumes.

Mad about Max

So it seems everybody is going to be Max from Where the Wild Things Are...I'm a little bummed as I have been planning this costume since Halloween of last year when I debated between the childlike scary and the very adult scary of Clockwork Orange. I ended up being Sebastian.

Looks like I should have swapped years so I wasn't just "following the fad". Oh well. This little boy made me feel a little better about my plight just because he's so darn cute. Man I was so excited about wearing some footy pajamas.

procrastination...i don't do my homework, so i can't sleep. I haven't slept, so i can't do my homework. procrastination. damnit.


so i will give you some tidbits of interesting while i lay here and procrastinate some more.

the best/craziest/i kinda just puked in my mouth halloween costume ever. do you have an outfit planned? i do...and i promise it does not involve child birth.
