I just posted this really cute 1956 DIY manual in the shop. Oregon State University has an Interior Design program which I'm hoping this manual was part of...though it may be affiliated with the now defunct Home Economics major.
If you're into recovering some of that furniture you found at Goodwill with "really good bones" I'd pick this lil guy up. Soft cover, full of black and white photos and really helpful.

That is so cute! It's a life goal of mine to learn how to reupholster furniture... well. :)
This is awesome. My husband brought home some vintage Life magazines today, and I was so excited. I reupholstered the seats of my vintage dining chairs after reading some DIY stuff online, but I don't think I could do anything that required more than cutting and stapling.
