Hypoallergenic and Hip///WeWOOD Watches

I've been looking into purchasing a good quality watch and came across this neato brand the other day! How cool are these watches by WeWOOD? Made out of wood, thus hypoallergenic for those of us with metal sensitivities AND they  plant a tree for every watch purchased.

I love this classic men's watch style. Yes, please!

Color///Color///and more Color

Our house is full of 3 new roommates and so many new colors. A purple love seat to go alongside our existing emerald couch, beautiful plants and so much new art. Ahhh what a sigh of relief I am breathing.  With new roommates there is always the subsequent fear of bad hand-me-down furniture and bad taste - you just never know from the initial interview.

This house in Portugal is my inspiration for our new and exciting house, full of varying hues textures and shapes. Isn't it beautiful?

Floor Pillows///

So I've ventured into floor pillow land. But mine look no where near as cool as these.

///the randomness of the universe is not really so random at all///

I love scanning through favorite blogs, linking to other random blogs and following that end up linking me back around somehow to things I know and love - like my dear work neighbor and friend Adam Arnold. As a talented designer i expect to see him popping up on fashion related sites and such. But i was scrolling through Jane Reaction's blog which i had never seen before (too cute) and there his little photo was, hanging from Antler & co.'s mobile as part of their Holiday Gift Guide!

I looked at the tiny little thumbnail and asked my coworker Deb, "is that Adam???" YUP! Bahaha. And those antler mobiles, so neat - this man is related to so much cool shit, has the BEST sense of humor, makes the most BEAUTIFUL CLOTHES and end ups in the most random places because of it. Can't wait to hear the story of how he ended up here!

Elephant Love: Notecards

Strap and Field has the sweet little notecards available on their website. I'm trying to figure out a potato print version of that elephant I can make at home. So cute.

Triangle ΔΔΔ LOVE /// Needing warmth

I can't seem to have enough blankets on my bed right now. I love a cool room and the warmth that comes with the weight of 10 blankets on top of me. This is one of the best quilts I've ever seen...oh how I'd love to have it strewn across my bed.

Getting ready for the Holidays

I've barely started Christmas shopping and crafting yet - I cannot believe it is already December - and half way through December at that!  I haven't blogged in months! What happened?

Well here I am, back to my old business -  so expect more posts because I'm feeling very festive and much more like my usual old self.

Well the first round of business for the holidays was getting Schoolhouse Electric Co.'s  Portland showroom decorated for the holidays and the release of our new shade designed by local artist Amy Ruppel. I made lots of felt decorations including cute garlands all made out of red and pale blue felt.

Now on to my house!

Holiday Hair///Braids///Braids///Braids///

I'm still loving this look even after years of doing Heidi-esque things with my hair. Braids and only braids - ok maybe a little Alexa Chung love as well - are the only reason I want and feel that i truly need highlights.

/// We have NEW LIGHTING in at Schoolhouse Electric Co. ///

We've unveiled a beautiful new line at Schoolhouse Electric Company!

The Celestial Collection has what I feel is a contemporary take on 70's lighting styles. This light is truly gorgeous and can be used in such a variety of applications.  I ahve a feeling we'll be seeing these in a lot of restaurants all over the country soon.

They really are even more gorgeous in person, so if you're ever in the Portland area come visit me in the showroom (there's also one in Tribeca for you East Coasters) and check out our newest additions!
