Words Through Walls///A Photo Blog Project
My dearest Haley and I have started a photo blog together. She in LA///and I in PDX, sharing a love for walls. We had this funny moment one day while she was still living here in Portland: We were talking down the street, talking about photography and she says, "There is this one wall I would love to take photos of." And I don't remember if it was me asking her "Is it in the Pearl?" or she said it, but then I said, "THE PURPLE ONE?!" And she screamed, "YES!!!" Now this is Portland, it's not like there is one cool spot here. But it's so amazing that we were both so fond of this one purple wall that we had to do something about. Obviously not only our souls, but our creative sides, had a bond.
Thus, Words Through Walls was born.
Our first post? The purple wall.
So we will continually be posting colorful and textural walls all over Portland and Los Angeles.

Storage Inspired///DIY Dresser
I am in desperate need of a new dresser. My IKEA model has offcially bit the dust. Getting clothes out of the drawers is like a circus act///I can't pull any of the drawers out more than a couple inches. So frustrating. So I'm hoping to pick up some cheap flea market find, paint something cute on it like this and my woes will be gone.

My first post surveying fashion week///and I have to say, I didn't expect it to be this. Like I said in my Fall Fashion post, skinny belts over your layers are THE accessory for Fall.
But this beauty from Luca Luca's Spring 2011 Collection caught me off guard. It seems like so many of the collections I've seen are very tailored///which ofcourse is always gorgeous. But I love how easy this style looks. Daytime, night time///Sunday lounge day or summer wedding. The pulled back hair, lights makeup and body sans jewelry is perfect. She is truly glowing.

Tonight's dinner///
***I cooked my pot pie with Quorn vegeterian chicken breasts and fakin bacon and it was soo good! Ketch made the non veggie style of course. We also added a tons of fresh vegetables: potatoes, carrots, peas, onion and broccoli. The best part though was the fact that it felt so much healthier than the average pot pie (even with the puff pastry). The gravy is simply stock and red wine versus the classic cream of chicken/musheroom soup recipe. Savory comfort food at its best.Yumm///
We made our cupcakes with blackberry jam and raspberries on top. Awesome recipe. Super light and refreshing///

Transitioning to Fall///
With October right around the corner I'm finally coming to terms with the fact that Fall has arrived. Leaves are changing, mornings are crisp/afternoons warm and pumpkins have already arrived at the grocery store.
As I think about what I'll be wearing as the warm months transition to chillier/rainier ones, these trends come to mind.
